The State Bar of Georgia
The Office of Bar Admissions is the administrative division of the Supreme Court of Georgia responsible for the admission of attorneys to the practice of law in Georgia. It is not part of the State Bar of Georgia, which—along with the Supreme Court of Georgia—is responsible for the regulation of persons who have already been admitted to the practice of law.
You can find the website of the State Bar of Georgia here, and a directory of contacts is here. The answers to frequently asked questions involving membership (including how former members of the Bar can become members again and how members can order a certificate of good standing) can be found here. Information about filing a complaint against a Georgia lawyer can be found here; and information about reporting a non-lawyer for the unauthorized practice of law can be found here.
